We are seeking Shop Technicians

Cummins Power Products is a leading manufacturer of Power Units and DC Generators.
We are seeking Shop Technician candidates to join us at any one of our Cummins Bridgeway locations.
Shop Technician
The technician’s role is to troubleshoot and make repairs in a safe and timely manner. Good communication with the service supervisor and/or the customer is necessary to do the job efficiently. Must be able to deliver awesome customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and perform complete repair job of basic model engines, sub-assemblies, and power systems within a reasonable and expected time frame.
- Understand and complete various shop paperwork, including time reports and work order reports.
- Participate in keeping shop area and company vehicle clean at all times and in good repair.
- Properly maintain and interpret various product/service information sources including parts microfiche, service manuals and product support bulletins.
- Successfully complete on a timely basis all Cummins required training courses.
- Continually improve upon mechanical ability by home study course, service parts topics, and other schools and training offered by the company.
- Assist customers as necessary.
- Provide assortment of hand tools needed to do repairs, as well as basic electrical/electronic meters.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of diesel engines
- Understanding of electrical systems – read schematics
- Demonstrated ability to learn
- Operate machine tools
- May require CDL
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn Company’s computer system
- Trained to perform service on all Cummins diesel products
- Be able to complete Company’s certification testing and keep skills up to date
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school or two years diesel experience
- Experience on electronic diesel engines
