We are seeking Engine/Generator Service Technicians

Cummins Power Products is a leading manufacturer of Power Units and DC Generators.

We are seeking Service Technician candidates to join us at any one of our Cummins Bridgeway locations.

Job Summary:

Trouble shoot and repair to non-vehicle engines (diesel/gasoline/gaseous), all makes of AC/DC generators, electrical/electronic controls, automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear networking and related components to complete power system (batteries, battery charger, fuel monitoring….) within a reasonable time frame.

Responsibilities:

Field installation, repair and maintenance of Industrial (6kw and above) Power Generation Systems
Maintain truck stock inventory
Timely completion of all work order related paperwork
Direct customer interface and site communication
Sell our products and services

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of electricity and power generation
Logic and troubleshooting skills
Reading and interpretation of blue prints, schematics, and power-line diagrams
Familiar with and working knowledge of low and medium voltage systems
AC & DC motors, working knowledge of.
Knowledge of National Electric Code and OSHA regulations
Thoroughly familiar with Electrical Safety Standards
CDL with clean driving record, unrestricted
Transfer Switch knowledge
Natural gas & diesel engine mechanical background
Understanding of resistance load banks & related testing

Skills and Abilities:

Basic computer skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Ability to learn Company’s computer system
Trained to perform service on all Cummins diesel products
Be able to complete Company’s certification testing and keep skills up to date

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two year or four year college or Trade School Diploma/Diesel Engines and Power Generation
Field experience in Power Generation Field Service
